A community of mental health professionals

A space where different approaches sound in unison

An evidence-based, affirmative community of psychotherapists that belongs to no single school — making mental health understandable for everyone.

Who we are

Not a school of one doctrine, but common ground

Most institutions are built around a single method. Syntonia occupies a different place: a space of horizontal encounter where the modalities of psychotherapy speak as equals, where the new and the underrepresented are given a voice, and where complex things about the mind are translated into human language.

Our defining quality is not a doctrine but resonance. It begins with exchange between practitioners and grows into education — for psychologists and for professionals in adjacent fields.

How we differ

Why Syntonia and not «another association»

Ukraine has no shortage of therapist-finding platforms and single-modality schools. Syntonia stands at a different intersection — and that is precisely what makes it needed.

Not one school

Dialogue between approaches

Most associations belong to one method. We are cross-modal: CBT, EMDR, schema therapy, body-oriented and other approaches speak as equals. The value is born between modalities.

Not «anything»

Evidence as the criterion

Diversity does not mean «anything goes». Our filter is the evidence base. Every piece carries a marker of its level of evidence: we choose what actually works for the person.

Not a label

Affirmativeness

Neurodivergence and LGBTQ+ identities as difference, not «brokenness». Syntonia is where people look for affirmative, safe support without judgement.

Not a shop window

A living community

Not a directory and not only courses. We are building a community of practitioners: case discussions, resonant pairings, exchange between approaches. We are gathering the first circle of members.

Directions

Three ways to be in syntony

Exchange

Talks

Lectures, open meetings and discussions between approaches. The heart of the community, where a shared language is born.

Learning

School

Programmes for psychologists and adjacent professionals — HR specialists, teachers, coaches and social workers.

Support

Center

Consultative support for individuals, families and organisations in a warm, non-clinical setting. This direction is in preparation: consultations will be delivered by community practitioners in their own independent practice.

Our approach

Methods that work for the person

We do not argue about whose school is right. We choose what genuinely helps a particular person — at the intersection of research, clinical expertise and the person's own values. That is broader than loyalty to one method, but it is not «anything that is fashionable» either: we deliberately do not work with pseudoscientific or potentially harmful practices.

ResearchClinical expertiseThe person's valuesEthics and safety

This is why «dialogue between approaches» at Syntonia means searching for what produces results, not blending everything together.

Public education

Mental health in plain language

Society still knows little about mental health, and myths dominate the conversation about neurodivergence — ADHD, autism, dyslexia. We talk about it plainly, warmly and without stigma: neurodivergence is a different way of functioning, not a malfunction.

For us, public education means giving people a language in which they can understand themselves and others.

«To be in syntony is to hear the other without losing yourself.»
Syntonia
Without stigma

Mental health is part of a person, not a verdict

We oppose the stigmatisation of any group of people. Asking for support, having a diagnosis, thinking differently — these are normal, not shameful. Everyone is welcome here regardless of background, status, neurotype or history, and we believe it is awareness that dismantles prejudice.

Beyond that, we are building a safe community of equals — a space for those whom society too often leaves at the margins because of a diagnosis, an identity, an experience or a difference. Not «help from above», but a place where you can be yourself without fear of judgement, find support from people who understand, and see that difference is not «brokenness» and vulnerability is not weakness. Mental health is for everyone, without exception.

Core areas

The areas we work in

Syntonia focuses on the areas where evidence-based, humane support is needed most — from neurodivergence and LGBTQ+ rights to trauma, veterans and addiction. Always in dialogue between approaches, affirmatively and without stigma.

Neurodivergence

ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other neurotypes as difference, not «brokenness». Public education, affirmative language, support without pathologising.

LGBTQ+

Safe, affirmative support without judgement. Work with minority stress and discrimination, respect for every person's identity.

Trauma and veterans

Evidence-based trauma care and support for veterans and their families — in dialogue between approaches (EMDR, CBT, body-oriented methods), with supervision and clear referral pathways.

Addiction

Alcohol, substances and behavioural addictions — evidence-based approaches: motivational interviewing, CBT, harm reduction. Often intertwined with trauma.

Clinical topics demand particular responsibility. That is our selection principle: only trained practitioners will work on them, with supervision and clear referral pathways. If you are a practitioner, an organisation or a partner — write to us.
