Privacy policy
Syntonia · wearesyntonia.com · Last updated: August 2026
We respect your privacy and treat data with the same care as we treat people. This document explains in plain language what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Syntonia is a programme of NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION «GRADIENT CENTER» (short name NGO «GRADIENT»), registration code EDRPOU 46389902. That organisation is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Data enquiries: hello@wearesyntonia.com or hello@gradientcenter.org. Registration data and the legal address are published on the Organisation's website.
What we collect
- Contact data you provide yourself: your email when subscribing or completing a form, plus your name and message if you supply them.
- Record of consent: when you submit an application we store the fact of your consent and its date — a requirement of personal data protection law.
- Technical data: anonymised visit statistics (pages, approximate region) used to improve the site.
We do not collect sensitive health data through this website and do not ask you to describe your condition in open forms.
Why we use it
- to send the public-education newsletter (only if you subscribed);
- to reply to your enquiries;
- to process applications to join the community;
- to understand which material is useful and improve the site.
The lawful basis is your consent (subscription, form submission) and our legitimate interest in running the community.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use reliable services that process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) — website hosting and protection against attacks.
- Web3Forms (Web3Creative, India; servers in the USA) — delivery of what you submit through the application or subscription form to our email. The service does not store submissions: it forwards them and deletes them. Data may remain in the service's server logs for around two months.
- an email delivery service — sending the public-education newsletter to those who subscribed.
Web3Forms and Cloudflare are located outside Ukraine and the European Union, so submitting a form transfers data to a third country. We have kept that data to a minimum: name, email address and the option selected in the «who you are» field.
Local storage
The site uses technically necessary browser storage (including localStorage) to remember your display preferences. This is not advertising tracking. Analytics, where enabled, are anonymised and use no advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Newsletter emails — for as long as you are subscribed. Membership applications — for the duration of review and thereafter for membership records. Enquiries — for as long as needed to reply and keep records. The subscriber list is currently maintained manually: the address from the form reaches us by email and we add it to the mailing list. To unsubscribe, write to hello@wearesyntonia.com — we will remove the address without asking for reasons and without delay.
Your rights
You have the right to obtain a copy of your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to withdraw consent and to lodge a complaint. Write to hello@wearesyntonia.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Children
This site is intended for an adult audience. If you believe we have unintentionally received a child's data without parental consent, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the latest change is shown at the top. Material changes are announced on the site.
